Giving
A share of what we earn goes back into housing where we work
CloseCenter only gets paid when a house closes, and only by the agent. A portion of that fee is set aside for housing-focused nonprofits in the community where the home sold. It costs sellers nothing — there is no round-up, no opt-in, and no donation line anywhere in your transaction.
How it works
Three rules we hold ourselves to
The same standard we apply to referrals: say what the mechanism is, and say where it can fail.
It comes out of our side
Giving is funded from the referral fee the agent pays us at closing. It is not added to your commission, it is not a line on your settlement statement, and it does not change the price of anything.
It stays in the community that earned it
Money from a closing goes to housing-focused work in that community, wherever the home was, not to a national marketing budget.
It is tied to closings, not clicks
Nothing is given for a form submission, a lead, or a signed listing. The trigger is a file that actually closed, which is the only event where we are paid at all.
Where it goes
We fund housing-focused work in the communities we take referrals from: local Habitat for Humanity affiliates, emergency rent and utility assistance funds, foreclosure prevention and housing counseling, and transitional housing for families leaving shelters. Priority goes to organizations operating in the same metro as the closing that funded the gift.
If you closed with an agent we referred, you can tell us which local organization you want your closing's share directed to. We will honor it whenever the organization is a registered nonprofit doing housing work in their community.
Have a nonprofit we should be funding, or want to know where a specific closing went? support@closecenter.com or call or text 865.284.3747.
This does not change your side
Sellers pay CloseCenter nothing, with or without the giving program. Your commission is negotiated between you and your agent, and our fee is paid by the agent out of theirs. See how the referral works.
